Checking your College’s DLI Number
  1. Open your browser and type “Designated learning Institutions List” and press enter.Starts), this option is given at the end of the list.

  2. Click on the first link shown in results (make sure the website name is Canada.ca)

  3. Scroll down till the end of the webpage.

  4. Look for “View List by Province or Territory” option and select the name of Province in which your college is situated.

  5. Let’s say you typed Alberta and the full list of colleges in Alberta will open.

  6. Under the word “Alberta” there will be a search option named Filter items.

  7. You can type the name of your college and your college will come up in the list if it is a DLI college.

  8. If you are unable to find the college with its name, then you can click the Alphabet (The Alphabet with which the name of your College

 

Important Key Points:

 

For an international student who wants to gain Canadian Experience it is mandatory to obtain a Post Graduation Work Permit. If your college does not have a DLI number, then you cannot apply for PGWP.

 

It is possible that some colleges have a DLI Number, but they still do not offer those programs which are eligible for PGWP. So please check with your college if the program you are getting is eligible for PGWP or not?
